As we know, only 5v strips are fully addressable (one led, one pixel), but now the fact has already changed. 12V strips are also one LED one pixel, that is, WS2818 color chasing RGB strips.
Features
- WS2818 can work direct on DC12V (one LED, one pixel like DC5V SK6812);
- Dual signal wires for more reliability (a single LED failure has no effect on other LEDs working on the same unit and the whole light can stay illuminated);
- Compatible with the majority of existing color chasing LED controllers;
- DC12V working voltage reduces the operating current, and therefore extends the connection length.
